Story driven puzzle adventure featuring a little Robot set on a mission to restore humanity from the brink of extinction by bringing an inhabitable island back to life. The game explores themes of environmental neglect, sentient AI, Isolation and rebirth. The player starts off as a disassembled robot awakening in fragments and must find its lost parts to remember its mission and understand what happened before it was switched off, revealing a past in which technology and nature collided.

Inspiration came from different movie titles, these being WALE, Big Hero 6 and A Wild Robot. For WALE it was the aspects of the movie where earth seemed to be abandoned for a “better” ecosystem in space, leaving a dumb disposable robot to create items on earth. This was a concept that had me question the reality of nature and technology and whether they could co-exist or if it was a tilt in one side that ended the earth ecosystem.

Gameplay & Mechanics

Navigating terrains which are both forested and rocky granting the player a diverse dynamic in different area zones, including bouncing mushrooms. Solve experimental logic-based puzzles that contain energy redirection, mixing solutions together, mechanical systems. A crafting and inventory system would enable players to extract resources from what’s left of the island to revitalizes plant life, while also gathering lost components to better “Robot 495” functionality. Potential having the different abilities, such as scanning the environment or gliding down by finding technology remnants. Interacting with different AIs discovering their own record of the events of the past.
